Gas Boats for RC Racing

What is that out on the lake? Is it a fish? Is it a canoe? No, it's a gas powered remote controlled racing boat! These scale model size gas powered boats are operated by you from land. You can race your boat in a pool, river, lake or pond; you can race your remote control racing boat against your friends for even more fun. You can make a day of it at the park or even make videos of your scale size race.

 

Some people might think that all gas powered remote control racing boats are all the same, when in fact they are not. There is another type of gas powered radio controlled racing boat that is powered by nitro, which is often referred to as gas powered as well. Nitro powered Radio controlled racing boats tend to cost more and are usually best used by the experienced hobbyist because of the maintenance required to keep these up and running.

One of the great features of these gas powered boats for RC racing is the cost, anyone can afford to have one with prices for the toy version starting out at about $50 but the costs shoot up to over $1000 for the really nice hobby gas boats. The engines for the gas boats for RC racing are readily available in the market. The main competition of these gas powered RC racing boats is nitro fuel. Although nitro fuel driven gas boats are more powerful and efficient they are costly too.

There are different styles of RC racing boats available on the markets you can choose from airboats, catamaran, formula RTR hydro, or the deep v RTR. Price is also another option that you can look at when picking out which gas powered RC racing boat you want. You will find that boats start at around $300 and go up to about $1000. Of course you could buy something less expensive but remember, you get what you pay for.

Gas powered RC racing boats usually travel about 45 mph but have been known to reach speed up 75mph. You also have the option of going all out on this hobby and custom designing your gas powered radio controlled racing boat from the body style to the engine and other components too, just remember that the more customized you get the higher the price tag you will have.

So, go online and do your research about gas powered radio controlled racing boats and find the one that you will enjoy for years to come and don't forget to take her our for a race at your local pond, lake or even the neighbors swimming pool.
